The following appointments of priests in the Edmonton Archdiocese will take effect Aug. 12, unless otherwise indicated.
Parishes in Edmonton
- Corpus Christi Parish: Father Joseph Vadassery will become pastor and Father Matthew Hysell associate pastor.
- St. Dominic Savio Parish: Father Gabriel Udeh has been named pastor.
- St. Joseph Basilica: Franciscan Father Manoj Xalxo will become associate pastor.
Parishes outside Edmonton
- Holy Trinity Parish, Spruce Grove: Father Joseph Salihu will become associate pastor effective June 29.
- Our Lady of the Foothills Parish, Hinton; Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Jasper: Father Miroslaw Kostarzewski has been appointed pastor.
- Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Sherwood Park, Tofield: Franciscan Father Pierre Ducharme will become associate pastor.
- Sacred Heart Parish, Edson: Father Varghese Munduvelil, a priest of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception, will be the new pastor effective June 1.
- St. Margaret Parish, Rimbey; Our Lady of the Assumption, Sylvan Lake: Father Les Drewicki has been named pastor.
- St. Mary Parish, Red Deer: Father Len Cadieux will be the new pastor.
- St. Vital Parish, Beaumont: Father Arlan Parenteau has been appointed pastor.
Other
- Father Joselito Cantal, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Edson, is granted a leave from pastoral ministry for personal renewal as of June 1.
- Basilian Father Brian Inglis, pastor of Our Lady of the Foothills Parish in Hinton, is being assigned by his religious congregation to the St. Joseph Seminary formation team.
- Franciscan Father Regi Mathew has become part-time priest chaplain at the Grey Nuns Hospital and part-time priest chaplain at the Cross Cancer Hospital in Edmonton effective May 15.
End of Term
- Father Michael Eniolorunda, current associate pastor of Holy Trinity Parish in Spruce Grove, returns to his home diocese as of June 29.
Internship
- Roger-Karol Niedzielski will serve at St. Martin of Tours Parish, Vegreville, and attached parishes.
