Community members joined Fr. Leo Hofmann and parishioners of St Michael's Catholic Parish in Leduc for the parish's second annual Way of the Cross on Good Friday, April 3. About 165 people took part in the event, nearly double the number of participants as last year. Some took turns carrying the 4-metre wooden cross through the streets of Leduc while singing, praying and meditating on Christ's Passion. The procession began at the Leduc Civic Centre and stopped at various social agencies in the city, including Family and Community Support Services, Leduc Food Bank, The Leduc Community Living Association, AADAC and Centre Hope. The parish hopes the procession will grow in years to come.
