The annual World Day of Prayer is slated for Friday, March 4 with 13 ecumenical prayer services in the Edmonton area.

The theme for this year’s service, prepared by the women of Chile, is How Many Loaves Have You?

The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women who come together the first Friday in March every year to observe a common day of prayer.

Through the Day of Prayer, women affirm their faith in Jesus and become enriched by the faith and cultures of women from other nations. Christians in more than 2,000 communities and more than 170 nations take part in the day.
