Re: "Archbishop's directives on posture, Communion" (WCR, Nov. 14).

If the Church allows for communicants to receive the Host on the tongue while kneeling, why not bring back the Communion rail? To the best of my knowledge, Vatican II in no way stated that the Mass should get rid of the Communion rail.

In addition, Blessed Pope John Paul II always gave out Holy Communion to communicants on the tongue while they were kneeling.

If we want uniform posture at Holy Mass, why not stick to the reverence and respect that we owe the Blessed Sacrament and humble ourselves before our Eucharistic Lord and King.
