Caritas train puffs out of station

A vintage steam train, dubbed the Caritas Express, makes a short run as it prepares to leave the rarely used Vatican train station for a journey to Orvieto May 21.

The train ride was part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of Caritas Internationalis. Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa, president of Caritas, said Caritas chose to celebrate its anniversary with a train ride because it symbolizes the movement of the Holy Spirit.

As well, the freedom to move on a train enable the building of community, he said.
