SPECIAL TO THE WCR
The Secular Institute The Oblate Missionaries of Mary immaculate - logo

The Secular Institute The Oblate Missionaries of Mary immaculate will gather in general assembly from Aug. 7 to 22 in Loretteville, Quebec.

The assembly will be made up of 34 delegates from various countries of Europe, Asia, North America, South America and the Caribbean.

The delegates will be called to reflect upon various themes regarding the life and the functioning of the institute. In particular, they will approve the statutes of its associate group The Volunteers of God.

Discussions in workshops and plenary sessions will be carried out in three languages: French, English and Spanish.

During the general assembly, there will also be the election of a new president directress general and of her administrative council.

The Oblates are consecrated laywomen. They live in the same conditions as their contemporaries and share the concerns common to all.

In communion with the Church, they commit themselves to live the Gospel at the heart of the world by being witnesses of the love of Christ for every human being.

For more information on the institute, visit its website at www.ommi-is.org.
