Archbishop Richard Smith came to John Paul II Catholic High School in Fort Saskatchewan May 3 to bless two new stained glass windows in the school chapel in recognition of the school's 25th anniversary. The blessing took place during a school Mass celebrated by the archbishop.
The windows, designed by Patti Lindstrom of Camrose, present the school's patron, Pope John Paul II, as well as the school's purpose statement - "Knowledge, Faith and Pride!"
It is the staff's prayer that John Paul II students leave the school filled with the knowledge, skills and values required to be successful in life; with a deep abiding faith that will guide their actions always; and pride in who they are as people.
