Hospital visit aided husbands recovery

OLIE STASYNEC

In 2008, my husband was very ill in hospital for more than two months. He was in a lot of pain. One morning, he just gave up and phoned me to get him a priest to administer the sacrament of the living.

I phoned Father Gregg Faryna and asked him to come to the hospital. Father Gregg was the former priest at our parish and was greatly loved by all. He gladly accepted and was there within the hour, full of concern and a smile on his face.

He asked my husband how he was doing and gently relaxed him. Then he gave him Confession and Holy Communion and blessed him.

Then he said to my husband, "You are now like a newborn baby. You have no sins on your soul. Get well!"

From that day forward, my husband started to get well and now more than a year later is doing great. He has an electric wheelchair that he gets around in very well. We live in our own suite in Sherwood Park and are very comfortable.

Thanks to God our Father and Father Gregg, one of his priests.
