Providence Renewal Centre wraps up 25th anniversary
Special to the WCR Edmonton
Australian composer and musician, Monica Brown and Hilary Musgrave, a former religious education advisor in the Dublin Diocese in Ireland, brought a peace-filled and celebratory closure to the 25th anniversary celebrations of Providence Renewal Centre at a concert attended by some 200 participants.
The next day 45 participants experienced the creative energy of God through sacred clowning, music and ritual as part of their Holy Ground retreat.
Naofa, the clown, creatively sculpted a person, while Monica’s music provided the background for the scriptural story of Jeremiah and the potter (Jeremiah 18:1-10).
A Eucharistic celebration on Oct. 2 brought together another 200 participants along with three bishops and 20 clergy to thank God for the Sisters of Providence’s 25 years of service to the Archdiocese of Edmonton through the spiritual ministry of Providence Renewal Centre.
At the showcase that was held on Sept. 28, SHINE FM provided radio time for various users of Providence Renewal Centre to express their knowledge and gratitude for the ministry that has been provided for the past 25 years.
Many people enjoyed a tour of Providence Renewal Centre’s newly-renovated facility and celebrated with anniversary cake and coffee.
The sisters and staff of Providence Renewal Centre sincerely thank all who have helped to make these celebrations a memory to be treasured.
