L'Arche wins housing awards
The L'Arche Association of Edmonton won two awards from the Edmonton Housing Trust Fund for its new Ted Bradshaw Home at 8516-89 St. L'Arche was honoured for excellence in building design as well as exceptional volunteerism in the housing sector. The volunteerism award went to the L'Arche planning committee comprised of Dan Albrecht, Wendy Bagnall, Carmel Hunt, Alison Peel, Merv Prediger and Robert Sevigny.
Ted Bradshaw Home was completed in late January. The home is an environmentally-friendly and barrier-free home for aging persons with developmental disabilities. It provides supportive housing for six persons with developmental disabilities and five spaces for live-in caregivers.
