Anti-Christian cartoon criticized

The Catholic Civil Rights League joined a chorus of criticism against an obscene anti-Christian cartoon in the University of Saskatchewan student newspaper, The Sheaf. The badly-drawn cartoon called capitalist piglet depicts Jesus engaging in oral sex with a pig.

"While we're relieved that the university's administration has condemned the cartoon, we find it ironic that this same newspaper devoted a four-page spread to its decision not to print the Danish anti-Muslim cartoons that are at the centre of an ongoing, global controversy about freedom of the press," said CCRL president Phil Horgan in a March 7 news release from Toronto.

LifeSiteNews.com noted a University of Toronto paper recently printed an offensive cartoon of Mohammed and Jesus "smooching" as they travelled into a tunnel of love, in an effort to promote tolerance of homosexuality.
