Priest Appointments

Archbishop Thomas Collins announces the following pastoral appointments in the Edmonton Archdiocese. They supplement appointments announced in June:

  • Father John Baptiste Lee, from Korea, is appointed pastor of St. Jung Ha Sang Parish, Edmonton effective May 2, replacing Father Augustine Park who had to return to Korea for health reasons.
  • Father Marinaldo Batista, from Brazil, is appointed pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Edmonton, effective Aug. 9.
  • Father Innaiah Bellamkonda, from India, is appointed pastor of St. Vital Parish, Beaumont, effective Aug. 9.
  • Father Murton Miller, in addition to his responsibilities as dominical vicar of St. Theresa Parish, MaMeO Beach, is appointed dominical vicar of St. Emeric Parish, Edmonton, effective Oct. 14.
  • Father George Nellissery, from India, is appointed associate pastor of St. Theresa Parish, Edmonton, effective Oct. 14.
  • Father Donatus Ihekwoaba, from Nigeria, is appointed associate pastor of Holy Trinity Parish, Spruce Grove, effective Oct. 17.
  • Father Joseph Vadassery, from India, is appointed associate pastor of St. Joseph's Basilica, Edmonton, effective Oct. 17.
  • Father Ken West, in addition to his responsibilities as chaplain of the Royal Alexandra Hospital, is appointed chaplain of the University of Alberta Hospital, effective Oct. 17.
  • Oblate Father Jacques Joly is appointed domincal vicar of Paroisse Saint-Joachim, replacing Oblate Father Andre Vincellette, effective Nov. 1.
