Archbishop announces priest appointments

• Father Thomas Alukka becomes pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Edson.
• Father Joselito Cantal becomes pastor of St. Mary's Parish, Provost, and Corpus Christi Parish, Consort.
• Father James Corrigan, becomes pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Wetaskiwin, St. Augustine Parish, Ponoka, and Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish, Hobbema.
• Sulpician Father Shayne Craig becomes the new rector of St. Joseph Seminary.
• Pallotine Father Jwarnes R. Duggimpudi, from India, becomes pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Fort Saskatchewan, Sacred Heart Parish, Gibbons, St. Clare Parish, Redwater, Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Skaro, and St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. Michael.
• Father Mitchell Fidyka becomes pastor of Holy Family Parish, St. Albert.
• Pallotine Father Patrick Furtado, who comes to us from India, becomes associate pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Fort Saskatchewan, Sacred Heart Parish, Gibbons, St. Clare Parish, Redwater, Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Skaro, and St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. Michael.
• Sulpician Father Augusto Garcia is appointed as member of St. Joseph Seminary Formation Team, while remaining pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Edmonton.
• Father Leonard Gartner, current rector of St. Joseph's Basilica, is granted a year sabbatical.
• Father Raymond Guimond becomes pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish, Wainwright.
• Father Richard Hanaczewski becomes pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Jasper.
• Father Stephen Hero returns to the archdiocese after completing his studies in Rome. He is appointed as member of St. Joseph Seminary Formation Team and professor at the seminary and Newman College.
• Father John Hesse, current pastor of Holy Family Parish in St. Albert, retires from full-time parish ministry and is appointed vicar for priests.
• Father Avinante Isagani, current pastor in Vegreville, Viking, Holden and attached parishes, returns to his home diocese in the Philippines.
• Father Jaroslaw Jedrzejewski, who comes to us from Poland, becomes associate pastor of St. Theresa Parish, Edmonton.
• Father Paul Kavanagh becomes pastor of St. Mary's Parish, Red Deer.
• Father Stan Ksciuk, current associate pastor in Fort Saskatchewan, Gibbons, Redwater, Skaro and, St. Michael, has accepted other responsibilities outside the archdiocese.
• Father Adam Lech becomes rector of St. Joseph's Basilica.
• Father Duncan MacDonnell, current pastor in Fort Saskatchewan, Gibbons, Redwater, Skaro and St. Michael, retires from full-time parish ministry.
• Father Oscar Monroy becomes pastor of St. Peter Parish, Villeneuve, St. Charles Parish, Mearns, St. Emerence Parish, Riviere-Qui-Barre, and St. Catherine Parish, Calahoo.
• Father Devadas Narisetty, from India, becomes associate pastor of Holy Family Parish, St. Albert.
• Father Collins Okafor, SMMM, who comes to us from Nigeria, becomes associate pastor of St. Thomas More Parish, Edmonton, and part-time chaplain at the University of Alberta Hospital.
• Father Arlan Parenteau becomes pastor of Christ-King Parish, Stettler, Our Lady of Grace Parish, Castor, and St. Michael Parish, Delburne.
• Father Grzegorz Przewrocki becomes pastor of St. Martin of Tours Parish, Vegreville, Holy Heart of Mary Parish, Viking, St. Gregory the Great Parish, Holden and attached parishes (Innisfree, Kopernick-Polska, Mundare, New Kiev, Prague).
• Oblate Father Al Roy retires as pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, Jasper, because of health reasons.
• Father Susai Raj Savarimuthu, current pastor in Edson, returns to this home diocese in India.
• Father Jan Sobkowicz becomes pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Lloydminster, and Sacred Heart Parish, Marwayne.
• Father Alban Uba, SMMM, who comes to us from Nigeria, becomes the associate pastor of St. Mary's Parish, Red Deer.
• Father Josef Wroblewski becomes the pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Edmonton, and Holy Spirit Parish, Edmonton.
• Father Karol Zynel becomes the pastor of St. Emeric Parish, Edmonton.

• Father Donatus Ihekwoaba, who comes to us from Nigeria, becomes associate pastor of St. Joseph's Basilica with responsibilities as part-time chaplain of the University of Alberta Hospital.
