St. Paul Diocese makes pastoral appointments

Bishop Luc Bouchard has announced the following appointments for the St. Paul Diocese which will take effect Sept. 1:
- Fr. Richard Hanaczewski leaves the St. Paul Diocese to work in the Edmonton Archdiocese.
- Fr. Peter Tran becomes diocesan chancellor. He will also serve as pastor of parishes in Mallaig, St. Lina, Goodridge and St. Vincent.
- Fr. Philippe Sati leaves the St. Paul Diocese.
- Fr. Real Levasseur is appointed pastor of parishes in Boyle, Prosperity and Buffalo Lake.
- Fr. Limneo Zamora Jr. becomes pastor of parishes in Whitecourt and Fox Creek.
- Louise Lavoie is appointed pastoral coordinator of the Catholic communities in Fort Kent, Elk Point and Fishing Lake. At the diocesan level, she will serve as coordinator of the family office, ecumenism office and missions office.
- Andrew Schoenberger, seminarian, will do his pastoral internship year at St-Jean-Baptiste Parish in Morinville. He will also coordinate preparations for World Youth Day 2005. He will be instituted acolyte at the 11 a.m. Mass in Morinville on Sept. 5.
- Fr. Hamilcar Blanco is named diocesan chaplain of the Catholic Women's League.
- Oblate Fr. Ignacy Warias becomes administrator of parishes in Bonnyville and Kehewin. Oblate Fr. Hoanh Dinh remains titular pastor of those parishes.
