Mallet releases rosary CD tribute

Designed to assist a person in their meditation of Christ's life, Vegreville singer/songwriter Mark Mallett has just released Through Her Eyes: A Journey to Jesus, a double CD tribute to the rosary.

"I believe there is nothing like it in Christendom," Mallett said. "It's a new way to pray the rosary. It's also timely with the holy father's plea for Catholics to take up the rosary once again."

Along with co-composer Darcy Phillips, Mallett has produced a lush musical arrangement written to each of the 20 decades of the rosary, including the Luminous Mysteries.

Mallett exchanges prayers with Father Ray Guimond to help bring the listener to ready contemplation. The reverent score threaded with 'the choir of angels' inspires.

The Creed, Our Father, Hail Holy Queen and Glory Be have been set to music. The work is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, featuring meditations on the words Our Lady spoke to St. Juan Diego.

"This is what the rosary does," Mallet said. "It reflects the Gospel to us, bringing us face to face with Christ.

"There is no more fitting patroness for dedication."

Mallett is planning a CD launch at St. John the Evangelist Parish March 18, beginning with Mass at 7 p.m. Guimond with be on hand to celebrate.

The double CD or cassette is available online at www.markmallett.com or toll free at 877-655-6245.
