Parish celebrates Feast of Divine Mercy

It is St. Andrew's Parish's second year to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, the Sunday after Easter. The Masses officiated by Father Vic Perron on April 27, coupled with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the sacrament of Reconciliation by Father L. Roy, were the highlights of this feast.

A nine-day novena started on Good Friday. Each day, the novena was offered with a Holy Hour, except on Holy Saturday Stations of the Cross were prayed.

On this year's Feast of Mercy, about 250 churchgoers attended the 3 p.m. hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, while Roy heard confession. With great zeal Roy heard Confessions for almost four hours.

The devoted St. Andrew parishioners promoted trust in the Divine Mercy as they celebrate a Holy Hour every Sunday, from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Chaplet of Mercy, hymns, Benediction and other prayers.
