Sisters elect leader

Halifax, N.S.
The Sisters of Charity of Halifax recently elected a new leadership team .
The new congregational leader is sister Donna Geernaert who was born in Edam, Sask., and has been a Sister of Charity since 1959.
The congregation is based in Halifax, but its members also serve across Canada, in the Eastern United States, Peru, Dominican Republic and Bermuda. The principle ministries are in education, pastoral service, healthcare and social service.
