Sherwood Park Ukrainians get new pastor

The eight-week-old Ukrainian Catholic Parish here is getting a new pastor.
The parish, which worships in the gym of Father Kenneth Kearns School, lost its pastor Father David Motiuk shortly after he received the appointment, when Pope John Paul named him auxiliary bishop of Winnipeg.
But now Bishop Lawrence Huculak has appointed Father Myron Pyszcz to shepherd the 100 to 160 people who are attending the Sunday Divine Liturgy.
Father Pyszcz will begin serving the parish at its June 16 liturgy at 10:30 a.m. The parish's first general meeting will be held June 23 at 7 p.m. in the gym.
