Maggie St. John believes there are more women like her out there - women who are at a point in their life where they are asking what it is that God wants from them.
And she thinks the Sisters of Providence are taking a big step forward in giving those women someone to talk to about it.
The community will launch its website - www.sisters.prov.ab.ca - on Feb. 19, the birth date of foundress Emilie Gamelin.
The website will give Internet users a chance to learn about the Sisters of Providence, read the personal stories of some of the sisters, and, perhaps, begin to think about choosing a religious life.
It's part of a concerted effort by the Sisters of Providence to reach out to women, says vocations director Sister Toylene Fook.
"Many people don't understand what religious life is all about. We invite women to stay with us for a week or two and see how we live, as part of the discernment process.
"But we also try to put out more material so people will know what we are all about, because we are not as visible as we used to be."
