TIM facilitators prepared to lead parish workshopsSPECIAL TO THE WCR
EDMONTON — Ten facilitators have been commissioned for the Together In Ministry program that promotes collaborative ministry in the Edmonton Archdiocese. Archbishop Thomas Collins commissioned new and current TIM facilitators for 2001-03 in a ceremony Aug. 25. Collins stressed the importance of the program for the parishes of the archdiocese. The facilitators were each presented with a ceremonial candle and the archbishop urged them to share their light with the parishes. The facilitators began their formation and training at a workshop held at the Catholic Pastoral Centre. Bob McKeon of Newman Theological College spoke on collaboration in parish ministry. His talk sparked a lively discussion on the impact of collaboration on parishes that have booked TIM workshops this fall. The current facilitators took turns presenting the basic workshop and walked the new facilitators through the program they will be presenting. Ten workshops have been booked so far for this fall. |
