CorrectionsIn the account of 25 outstanding students in Edmonton Catholic Schools in the June 25 WCR, two students were inadvertently missed from the list. They are: Daniel BrewsterGrade 9 - Blessed KateriDignity and respect are integral to Brewster's personality. These are demonstrated to through his Christian faith. He is a member of the peer education team of the school and he helps his peers deal with issues relating to violence, peer pressure and drug and alcohol abuse.Cassie EmburyGrade 9 - St. AlphonsusEmbury demonstrates to her peers that it is possible to work hard in school, participate in many activities and still have fun. She balances her academics with work on the grad committee, assisting in the office, and the school choir as well as other extracurricular activities.Last week's story, "Edmonton to get 5 new Catholic schools," incorrectly stated the number of teachers in Edmonton Catholic Schools. The school district has 1,700 teachers. |
