Anno Domini special events


In connection with the Anno Domini exhibit, The Provincial Museum will be holding several special events to mark the 2,000th anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Sunday, October 8

1 p.m. - Elsie Hepburn will perform a program of 20th-century songs celebrating the life of Christ.

Monday October 9

1 p.m. - Sarah Jeffries, winner of the 2000 Concerto Competition.

Thursday, October 12

7:30 p.m. - "What Do You Say That I Am?" A discussion of Jesus' question to his disciples from the Jewish, Muslim, Orthodox, Catholic, evangelical and liberal Protestant perspectives.

Thursday, October 19

7 p.m. - Dead Man Walking. The first in a series of films presented by the Provincial Museum of Alberta and the Edmonton Film Society. Will include introductory discussions by guest lecturers. Runs every Thursday.

Thursday, November 30

7 p.m. - Robertson Wesley United Church choirs

Thursday, December 7

7 p.m. - Concordia Concert Choir

Friday, December 8

7:30 p.m. - Julian of Norwich, a play presented by Roberta Nobleman.

Saturday, December 9

7:30 p.m. - St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, presented by Roberta Nobleman.
The museum is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information call 453-9100.
