Worldwide Marriage Encounter to trying to find the Catholic couple in the Edmonton Archdiocese which has been married the longest.
The organization wants to acknowledge the couple as part of World Marriage Day on Feb. 13.
Marriage Encounter has contacted Catholic Women's League and Knights of Columbus councils across the archdiocese to enlist their help in finding the couple which has been married longer than any other.
World Marriage Day was started in Baton Rouge, La., in 1981 and has spread through many other areas of the world. Its permanent theme is Love One Another, taken from John 14.
Nominations for couples married the longest can be sent to Roy and Eileen Hoven, Box 30, Spruce View or faxed to them at 403-728-3600. their email address is rehoven@telusplanet.net. Deadline is Jan. 31.
