Parish honours centenarian

St. Patrick's Parish in Edmonton recently honoured parishioner Eleanor Lovette who turned 100 on July 22.
Born in Islington in London, England in 1899, Lovette continues to attend Mass at St. Patrick's Church every Sunday.
She is mentally alert and always cheerful and smiling.
At a ceremony at the church recently, Father Frank Stempfle, pastor of St. Patrick's, presented Lovette with messages of congratulations from numerous dignitaries, a framed picture of Pope John Paul imparting his papal blessing and an authentic copy of her birth certificate.
