Local Knight has boosted membership

Wally Streit of Edmonton, district deputy for the Knights of Columbus, has been named a Star District Award winner.
Streit received the award from the organization's international headquarters in New Haven, Conn., and a plaque was presented to him by State Deputy Julito Reyes at a special ceremony July 14.
"The award was presented to Wally for piloting the six councils in his district in an outstanding membership recruitment and retention campaign and also for the successful promotion of the fraternal insurance program," said Reyes.
Streit has recently assumed the duties of state membership chairman for the Alberta Knights. Those interested in joining the Knights should give him a call.
