God reveals himself through the Church, ScriptureIn response to: "A Feminist Perception of the Spirit" (WCR, July 26). I have not read Sister Elizabeth Johnson's She Who Is but I find it funny that a person would write a book about God and yet claim "The reality of God is a mystery beyond all imagining." I find it sad that a Christian would make such an assertion given the incarnation, the apostles, the Church, the Holy Scriptures, creation, the saints, etc. Is not the essence of religion that God has revealed himself? St. Paul got it right when he said, "Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall see fully, even as I am fully known." Tim Nelson
