MILLET – Some of the men from St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Millet were outside preparing the way of the Lord on the first Sunday in Advent, as they set up the Nativity scene to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Although there is no Sunday Mass at St. Norbert's Catholic Church these days, the Catholic community works hard together to keep Catholicism visible in their beautiful little community.

Father Marc Cramer of Sacred Heart Church in Wetaskiwin is the shepherd of this little flock and is most encouraging to them.

Along with setting up the Nativity scene outside, decorations were prepared inside for the Christmas celebration on Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. (to which all are invited ), preceded by delicious potluck and a rousing hymn singing, led by long-time organist Bernice Farmer.

A large sack of new winter socks, toques, gloves and scarves were also donated to the Network Outreach Wetaskiwin, and carried off by Santa aka Grace French.
