We have an opportunity for an energetic and creative individual to provide marketing and advertising services for the Western Catholic Reporter newspaper and website.
Reporting to the Editor/General Manager, you will be responsible for developing marketing strategies; identifying and connecting with new advertising clients as well as collaborating with existing clients and designing advertising for both client-based and in-house ads. Other responsibilities will include maintaining billing information and other related database information.
Qualifications: post-secondary education in marketing & sales, communications or graphic design or other related education and some related experience. A combination of education & related experience will be considered. Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Corel Draw software is required. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator software would be an asset. Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and communications skills with an ability to be creative and have a high degree of attention to detail are required. Knowledge of the Catholic Church and its teachings are a definite asset.
