Father Rolheiser’s article encouraging Catholics to attend Mass was a masterpiece (“An open letter to you, the one who does not go to church,” WCR Nov. 5). His tone was humble and loving as he reached out to those who have difficulty in attending Mass regularly.

Also, it is an article for all Catholics. I do attend Mass but Father Rolheiser’s message touched my soul deeply. He explained why we need to attend Mass, bringing our gifts to share and be enriched by God’s gifts and those of the congregation.

I particularly appreciated his words, “We miss you.” To me, those words were impelling since they revealed how we are all one and need each other.

Thank you, Father Rolheiser, your articles each week bring knowledge and inspiration.
