I found your article on blessings informative and timely (WCR, Feb. 6). I am trying to educate myself on the correct way of doing things. I see the priest blessing the children before they go to the children's liturgy. I see no mention of this in the General Instruction on the Roman Missal (GIRM).

Why does the Creed not mention belief in the Eucharist

In the Apostles Creed, why is the Holy Eucharist not mentioned? Or is it understood to be in the "holy Catholic Church" or the "the Communion of saints"?

I would think it would be more specific as is the sacrament of reconciliation in "the forgiveness of sin."

Was this creed written by the Apostles?

Why is the collection plate put aside?

I've noticed that when the collection plate is brought up to the altar with the bread and wine, the money is put aside or moved away from the altar. Does not that make the money offering unworthy of the altar and of blessing?
