Since the legalization of abortion, more than 400,000 innocent children have been killed in Alberta. It is estimated that, after taking into account women having more than one abortion, there are 250,000 post-abortive women in Alberta suffering from the depression that sets in after three-to-five years.

Glen Argan’s series on Vatican II is informative, yet his crucial piece on Christian disunity (WCR May 6) does not go deep enough to reveal the hidden roots and causes. Christopher Dawson is an excellent historical authority, but his profound knowledge cannot be simplified into a conclusion that the union was rejected by Byzantine Christians.

I am finding myself increasingly agitated by some of the attitudes put forth by my fellow Catholics in regard to homosexuality.

I was as swept up in knowing about Pope Francis as anyone else. However, I have come almost to the point of nausea at all the repetitious coverage of every miniscule detail of his life and himself.

Regarding the letter by Jeff Scales (“Warning against yoga absurdly fundamentalist,” WCR, April 15), if Mr. Scales “understands and supports the Church’s position on dabbling with the occult,” he would do well to investigate, with minimal effort, the practices of yoga, kinesiology, therapeutic touch, etc.
